The Good Samaritan

A fire broke out in my neighborhood yesterday.

It was weekend evening rush hour. The narrow market road, with splendidly lit shops on either side, was teeming with wheels of all sizes. It seemed like a congregation of gas-guzzlers, almost as if this street was the last one left without a single pothole and every wheel in town simply had to be there to experience this extraordinarily rare occurrence!  Stalled vehicles, horn happy drivers, hassled shoppers, street hawkers, all jostled for space, turning it into one hell of a carnival!
